It’s that time of the week again, and it looks like we might have one last weekend of Sun before being hit with a typical Vancouver fall. Now before we get into what’s coming up this weekend, let’s talk about what’s coming up next week:
Expect a revamped site layout and a MASSIVE CONTEST for all of our readers. We’ll be releasing the details on Monday, but if you’d like to be the first to know, make sure you’re following us on Twitter or Facebook. Trust us when we say, you will not want to miss this!

But on to the weekend
Today marks the release of North America’s answer to Shaun of the Dead in “Zombieland” and based on the trailers, it looks like our US counterparts managed to do a good job. If you’re not familiar with either, basically the premise is that the world has been taken over by zombies and our “heroes” are left to fend for themselves, testing out a multitude of zombie killing methods in a mission to find some sort of haven. In no way am I stating that this will be Oscar caliber, but in terms of fun, the rating is off the scale. All I have to say is Woody Harrelson + zombies = Awesome (Much like Vancouver).
If you’re not into the whole killing tip this weekend, Blue Man Group is in town at Thunderbird Stadium. With they’re own unique fusion of rock, electronica and visual effects, they’re bound to amaze any concert goer.
And finally, if looking for more of a quiet weekend, you might want to check out the Mid Autumn Moon Festival at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden. Entry is by donation and you’ll find activities for everyone along with an abundance of Moon cake. Just be mindful that Moon cake isn’t for everyone.
