The League of Extraordinary Dancers
December 3rd, 2009 by Adam MarkCorporate Branding. (GOOD?)
November 24th, 2009 by MateoEverywhere I look Red Bull is sponsoring an event that works to promote music and culture. Educating people that previously may have never had the exposure to what they’re seeing or hearing, while at the same time creating a platform for artists to promote their work. I know deep down Red Bull like any other cola brand, is a marketing machine with its number one goal being to make the fat stacks, but the effort + dedication its team put into promoting stuff I enjoy is enough for me to lend my support.
Note: This was not written with a public health perspective. I do not condone drinking more than a few of cans of this stuff a week.
Shout ooot to Nina, I’ve discovered a few different artists through RBMA.

Riva Starr – I Was Drunk + Black Cat/White Cat
November 10th, 2009 by MateoFirst caught sight of this vid from my homey DJ Neoteric and have been patiently waiting for the mp3s release. You can now cop it @ Beatport. House music is something else now eh?
PS: Speaking of Neoteric. Keep it locked here for a bit of a feature on his + Matty Cee’s White Light Mixes project. Definitely something you have to listen to.

November 2nd, 2009 by Adam MarkSo a Chinaman, an Italian and a priest walk into… Wait wrong post, but remove the priest and turn that Ital into an Italian/Portuguese halfbreed and you’ve got the odd couple that makes up Chasing Mood: a new reality series that follows Vancouverites Curtis Lum and Brendon Bertolini on their quest to make it big.

The Cobbles Review | Jay-Z The Blueprint 3
September 16th, 2009 by Adam Mark
It’s been more than a minute since I’ve bought a CD, main reason being the gigs of mediocre albums stocking my iTunes library, and plenty more shitty ones, but The Blueprint 3 was one of those rare albums that I felt the need to go out and purchase and here’s why.
I’ve had the chance to listen to BP3 a number of times, and I must admit, at first I was rather disappointed. There was nothing that really caught my ear the first time through. I mean sure, I stopped and let the head nod to a few of the singles I already had the chance to appreciate, but nothing really hit me as a slugger. A few days went by where I really didn’t listen to it that much, however on Monday I figured I’d at least give Jay the attention he deserves and sat down with this album to give it my undivided attention.
TGIF | 09.11.09
September 11th, 2009 by Adam MarkWell it’s that time again. he sun is shining and the weekend is upon us. Rather than write a somber blurb about the events on 9/11, as important as it is to remember, we figured that we’d give everyone something to smile about and focus on the positives of today.

If you haven’t heard it yet, now’s your chance to actually purchase Jay-Z’s latest album: The Blueprint 3. Thus far, it’s been receiving a lot of mixed reviews. Most saying that while there are a few tracks of greatness, the album as a whole doesn’t stand up to the standard that we’ve all come to expect from Jigga Man. Our review will be up next week to give you the real rundown.
No plan’s for the weekend? There’s plenty to do! Click below to find out what’s going on.
Complimenting your mood | Robert Glasper
September 2nd, 2009 by Adam Mark
In this series I aim to introduce you to things that will highten your personal experiences. While that might sounds like a lot of fluff, it’s the moments in life that we come to appreciate with time and it’s these moments that I hope to extend, or rather compliment. Whether it be a musician, food, or even an activity, each of these has it’s own specific time and place and I’ve taken it upon myself to share these “compliments” with you.
And thus I present Robert Glasper.
